Gulf Politics?

I've been away from this awhile, and this is not the article I had planned to write. Mental traffic is oppressive, fears abound, the world environment deteriorates, and somehow what follows is what I feel immediately compelled to write.I am almost repulsed by that, but it's the truth.

Is it just me? Looking at this dreadful mess in the Gulf and the President's obvious delay in acting to control it, I note one distinguishing fact no one else(that I have heard or seen) has mentioned: Republican governors!

Am I alone in believing that Mr. Obama's first reaction would be political? It is the nature of the beast, so to speak.I think "Let them sweat", would be his first thought, particularly when the extent of the disaster was not at all clear.

Why would he want to make Bobby Jindal, Hayley Barbour, Bob Riley or Charlie Crist into heroes in an election year? Short answer: he wouldn't. Simple as that.

And that is the problem.
