That Spoonful of Sugar

And the Bully pulpit...make that the pulpit Bully!

From a president who could not communicate, who never really tried, we have gone to one who overwhelms us, and on occasion truth, with words. He has staked his whole presidency on this Bill, and has pulled out all the stops on pressuring reluctant Democrats. Watching this sausage get made, we know we could never eat it,but chances are we will.!!!!!

Over a year ago I took you on a trip through Oz where we finally met the Wiz behind the curtain, Now here we are, and his future hangs in the balance. So does ours.

I want this hideous construction to fail, but chances are it will pass. If it does pass we are are going to have our hands full...with that spoonful of sugar.

They have set us up to fail by making parental goodies begin immediately on passage. It will be tough to keep parents in the opposition fold. And all the while incremental steps, long planned, will be creating more government agencies with more government jobs.

Almost unoticed in this furor is the Moody Report that tells us, to paraphrase, our economy is in such bad shape, that to keep our triple A rating we will have to make cuts in national spending that will threaten "social cohesion". If this health monstrosity is not the financial wonder they proclaim, then...Welcome to the war! What we fear the most may well soon be upon us.
