The Obligation to Protect...and Sovereignty

The Obligation to Protect doctrine overrides national sovereignty. It provides a hitherto non-existant tool by which any nation's sovereignty can be ignored if the UN decides that a ruler/government is persecuting his subjects/citizens.

How timely!

Could it be that Libya was prologue? Using the UN doctrine of The Obligation To Protect, Obama took us into Libya to establish a very acceptable predecent for future use of the doctrine. And the next possible goal? How about Israel!

I don't claim to have originated that thought. Glenn Beck, that loonytune who has somehow been ahead of most of this, described it months ago, just as he described the coming Arab Spring long before it came. I suggest that anyone with doubts look into the origin of The Obligation to Protect.

Verrrry interesting!

Well, we shall see. If we find the Arab Spring nations massed on Israel's borders, ready to invade to protect persecuted Palestinians, don't say you weren't advised ahead of time!
If it doesn't happen I'll be delighted, and more than happy to be called an ignorant loonytune myself.
