Really?

This political campaign has become unreal. The most unreal thing I heard today was that Senator Obama might ask Sen. Biden to step down in favor of Hillary Clinton.

While it is certainly possible that the advent of Sarah Palin, and the disarray her arrival has caused, may have made Sen. Obama regret his choice, the thought that he would now fit her in is beyond absurd. Nothing, absolutely nothing, would make him look weaker than that particular move. He would, in fact, appear to be in the wrong slot on the ticket!

Senator Obama is not a fool. We can ponder all we like on what might have happened had she been on the ticket, but she is not, and Palin is. Win some, lose some. Them's the breaks.

Yesterday, listening to the radio while driving, I happened on Michael Savage who was, at the time, discussing Senator Obama. He was in fact analyzing him, and had decided that the senator has an Oedipus complex. He went into great detail about why, which I will not go into. However, I have little doubt that if Hillary Clinton somehow ended up in his VP slot, Senator Obama would rapidly become psychiatric mincemeat.

So here we are, with lipstick all over the place and the whole campaign degenerating into a ridiculous, meaningless exercise. At this point in time, with the world the way it is, with the West under threat from several directions, we cannot afford to indulge in this stuff.

Really!!
