Where Shall We Go?

Think America, Think!!!

What can Americans be thinking? What could possibly convince this nation to invite the Clintons back to the White House?

This is the man who redecorated the oval office in tawdry! This is the woman who knew nothing about the Travel Office travesty and the Vince Foster suicide. This is the woman of the commodity profits that just…Whoopee!!...happened, the real estate swamp, the records that disappeared, and the absolute ignorance of her husband’s nauseating shenanigans. Have you got a bridge I can buy?

And if all those positives aren’t enough, think of him! Old Bill! Can you possibly imagine him quiescent in back rooms at the White House? Can you imagine him letting her do her job when, like every other narcissist before him, he will know he could do it better? This pursuit of the Presidency is not about the country, this is about them…always was, always will be.

Is our talent bank so shallow that we need dynasties, tired re-runs? Two Bushes and now two Clintons? I don’t believe it! Barack Obama has come from nowhere, others will follow. Obama is not my cup of tea. Barack looks to be a bit to the left of Lenin! But he is real! Poor old Hillary, a lefty too, feels forced to redecorate and reconstitute herself to suit each new port of call. This is real? Got another bridge?

In an earlier posting I brought up the question of the Constitution. The need to re-visit it, to update terms of office, and finally, to institute the federal funding of elections. I was thrilled to learn that Larry Sabato’s new book asks for a Constitutional Convention to deal with such an update. This is a must-do if we are not to be condemned to government by corporations, Soros-like groups, and individual billionaires.

In the meantime, let’s use our heads. Let’s not revisit the world of Clinton. The great economy he claims total credit for was starting when he arrived. The shrunken welfare roles of his administration were a matter of reluctant acquiescence on his part, not genius! It was the tawdry, the lies, and hidden secrets that were real.

And let us NEVER forget Sandy Berger? When will he take that lie detector test? Let’s ask Hillary?
