I made a big mistake when I revisited the Sandy Berger question in depth. Its depths are downright scary! I sincerely doubt that 99% of Americans understand what happened there...and is still happening.
Suffice it to say that just the tip of the iceberg(and that is ALL that is visible) is enough to make a concerned citizen say "A Pox on Both Your Houses", throw in the towel, and move to Mars.
Sandy Berger, former National Security Advisor to Bill Clinton, found guilty of stealing and destroying classified files from the National Archives, made a plea agreement which expires in 2008. Unless someone calls him on this, it will expire without his taking the lie detector test he agreed to take to get the plea--- which reduced his offense from a felony to a misdemeanor. He has also returned to the Clinton camp as an advisor to Hillary and is not barred from future security clearances.
Folks, you and I would be doing ten years or more behind bars for doing what he did, and it is just being forgotten by the powers that be in DC.
They do not want him to speak the truth ! This effort could not have succeeded without the collusion of both parties, some quid pro quo. And therein lies the rub!
It is understandable that when security mistakes are made..Mistakes that is!..there must be a degree of secrecy in the investigation. This fact cannot, however, allow for an offender of this magnitude to escape telling the full truth of what he took, and why, to some security cleared authority. This is not a slippery slope it is a cliff!!!! PARTICULARLY WHEN THE VERY PEOPLE FOR WHOSE PROTECTION HE MAY HAVE STOLEN ARE TRYING TO RETAKE THE PRESIDENCY.
What more can I say. Am I wrong? Please comment.

To the point!
This is a lot to digest! I read this section twice and still have trouble realizing the impact of it. Sandy Berger has been dropped from the news as far as I can see. And I had no idea of the spread of his influence. What can the voter do except refusing to vote for another Clinton in the White House?
