Setember 4...
Autumn is here...sort of. September restarts the pattern of organized activities that have been, themselves, on vacation. There is hustle in the air. With the election prelims heating up(so early!) there is a lot to be done in that single area alone.

However! When better to look critically at the system within which these elections operate. If you will take a look at my first posting, you will see why I heaved a sigh of relief when I saw particular cartoon in my daily newspaper. It pictured a swearing-in ceremony at which someone pulled at the sleeve of the oath-taker saying it was time to get out and make money for the 2112 election campaign. A relief to see that others see too that this is where we are!!!

Can you really believe that Hillary, Barack, and the rest of the presently serving candidates of both parties are putting their best thought and effort into governing? Will this improve when the Congress convenes after the summer break. More likely not and at a crucial time in our history. My mail tells me that the hunt for money has gotten frantic.

We must consider that our present election structure has become out of date and no longer functional. Today's communication and transportation speed could not have been envisioned by our founders; they planned for a society that moved at the speed of the horse. We must look into updating our term lengths, spacing of elections, and federal funding. SOON.
