Yoo,Hoo...Is that you Democracy?

Not if the Clinton camp has its way! It is both hilarious and scary to see the gyrations Hillary and her pals are going through to undo the rules they ostentatiously signed on for back when they expected a coronation by February 5th. Florida and Michigan, once disposed of, now are being snuck into the picture to bolster Hillary’s delegate count, and nowhere is the will of the people having much sway! Hill’s supporters seem to have limitless absolutely legitimate reasons why the super delegates should not follow the majorities of popular vote, delegates, or states. It is great fun to watch them wriggle when questioned, but mind boggling that this seems right and proper to them as they measure everything from the point of view of their own gain.

I was also disheartened to hear a Sunday news person comment that Senator McCain likes and respects Hillary Clinton, but not Barack Obama. This because Obama did not keep his word during negotiations over some piece of legislation. What disheartened me is that I found myself wondering whether that tidbit was dropped as disinformation. Trust is gone!! Mine at least, utterly, totally gone. So where do I go from here?

There is lots of talk about frothy speech, verbal snowjobs, from the Clinton camp, and so far Obama has stayed above the negative fray. Occasionally I find myself thinking that I could vote for Obama, but I recognize that so far at least it’s because I feel the excitement of the unknown, the thrill of the new. Senator Obama will face a more challenging road if he wins the nomination as I suspect, and to date, hope, he will.

Meanwhile I’ll keep looking for democracy and trying to avoid those dubious tidbits.
