Do I have this wrong? Am I missing the vital piece of the puzzle? Fallibity is my middle name, but here?
The way I understand it, Sharia Law is an integral part of the Muslim religion. That is to say that while individual muslims, living freely in this country, may differ on which segments of it they will embrace, most of them recognize it as legitimate, and to one degree or another, vital to their religion and their Muslim life. That recognition, that acceptance, is the worm in the apple and the basis for my argument that Muslim immigration to this country will inevitably end with an assault on the constitution, and the spread of Sharia Law.
All it will take is a single Muslim majority in a single voting area and our democratic system will allow the worm to begin the destruction. That will commence a slow, but as I see it inevitable, spread of a legal system incompatible with our own which could eventually, by virtue of unbalanced population growth, threaten our constitutional system. Look at Dearborn Michigan where the first majority may be forming. Look at the schools in East Dearborn and wonder! It's not here yet, but it appears to be on the way.
And fools that we admittedly are, ask yourself if we are facilitating our own demise?Does our wonderfully permissive Constitution make certain, by its very nature, that Sharia Law will triumph. Let's look at it closely and find ways to defend before the problem gets ugly.
