Second thoughts from Oz

My last posting, while truthful and forthright, was ill-advised. The issue should, must, remain in the courts. It should not become a dispute in the mainstream. The electorate spoke. They elected President Obama and we will see how that goes. All of us want the country to go forward in strength, and clearly an emotion-charged dispute would not serve the country well. We all make mistakes and I clearly made one. I will not remove the post, but will let it stand as a reminder for myself to research more thoroughly, and for others that a question does remain.

I will shortly start a commentary on life in Oz, a strange land where things are hardly ever what they seem, and where the divisions seem to be not less but more acute than before the election. Taxes, legislation, budget provisions all play here and so does history, some crucial parts of which we seem to be ignoring. More on that later. For now, apologies for my acting too quickly without complete understanding of a serious problem.
