Waddya know Joe? Joe knows a lot!
There is hope! And, as usual it comes from hometown America. Joe the plumber may well prove to be the deciding factor in this election.
Most of the doubts about Obama can be viewed through this single conversation. And Joe, post event, is speaking, so far, with clarity and understanding about the meaning of their exchange. Like most Americans, he is not a fool. He sees things pretty much as they are, is well informed and interested in the future of his country. Go Joe!
Sen McCain did well in the debate, but did not land the fatal blow that was required. It may be that Obama has scored an 'own goal' , with his comments to Joe. The way the conversation is resonating around the country, with that comment he may well have done himself in!
At the very least he has awakened hope, stimulated the fight and clarified the issues all to his own disadvantage. Words have meaning, as someone said recently. Sen. Obama's words are meaningful and we are happy that he has, at last spoken them.
